Art Nouveau Bronze Lamp

Decorative heavy cast Bronze 'Dog & Cat' Lamp.

Two fanciful artistically created figures, adorned in victorian clothing stand beside one another. A dog suited with cane and top hat, the other a cat in dress.

For the design it follows artists and literary writers from the 1800s. Those like Harry Pointer for cats. Charles Dickens, dogs (Turk) and cats (Mrs. Catskill) were possibly inspirational to this work. That overall was given to a lamp style reminiscent of the early 1900s.
