Handmade Trinket Box with Repousse Trim lid

Handmade, light weighted Trinket Box from Gardens St., Jordan, circa 1980-‘90s. Material is of a mahogany wood type, with a hand etched Metal Repousse (hammered relief) trim attached to the box’s wooden outer lid top. Metal is silver like and non-magnetic.

Two small metal globes (rattles) attach at uppermost point of lid’s top. They’re of a chromed iron metal type and similar to bells. Objects inside seem not made of metal since they only rattle and not chime.

Label on base is: Hand Made, Bazar Kamal, AL-AFGHANI, Tel 606634, Gardens St., Jordan.

Condition: Very Good! It has lightly been rubbed with a non-drying food grade mineral oil and cloth dried. Lid’s contact surface has been rubbed with beeswax.
