This beautiful ebony wood sculpture is of a traditional East African tribal Woman’s Head Bust. It has the original label from Kenya, East Africa and likely was hand carved from non seasoned raw Blackwood.
Not all ebony wood is of a rich deep dark color, where the color itself gives greater importance to the wood. Regardless, it is still a rare wood species that tops the list in scarcity.
