Beetle Kill Pinewood Semi-Truck Multi-Storage Box

No one can have but the best in safe keeping, with this creatively styled Handcrafted Semi-Truck compartmental Box. The left 2 doors (drivers and sleeper berth) include pull out trays displaying felt lined interiors, along with all three axles having similar compartments, tucked safely into their wheel to axle bays.

The wood is of a Beetle killed Conifer, similar to Blue Pine*, so is interspersed with what appear as scratches and holes. They are formed by Beetles entering into the living Tree and thereafter killing it. Such is Nature’s cycle and yields a beautifully rugged and artsy appearance. When the artist shapes their final creation they will show as intended and are not from being later scratched or damaged.

On bottom of base is a label with: Made in Idaho. The artist’s name; 'Jake' has also been inscribed into the wood along with the date: 2004.

* Some of the heaviest tree die-offs due to Pine Beetles infestations have been to the Blue Pine, with upwards to 70% kill ratio. A renewed saying "Save a Tree, Eat a Beetle," just maybe is in order.
