Mother of Pearl Wood Ginger Jar/ Trinket Box

A very nice Ebony Box given that added Mother of Pearl shimmer upon its contrasting dark color. Jar and Lid have a snug fit and with care will hold up for years of ownership, in keeping those added items safe.

The color dyeing is similar to that seen from Africa or Asia, which further uniformly darkens uneven colored ebony (possibly mahogany) woods.

Has been lightly oiled with non-drying pure food grade mineral oil and cloth dried throughout. Lid's contact surface has been rubbed with beeswax.

Please note that in time should the lid’s waxing ever fail (not maintained w/ wax or very cold/hot) that a light lifting tug applied 360 degrees around the lid’s handle should be sufficient to remove. Currently protected with tissue paper wrap including an outer heavier paper wrap and padded in ship box till sold.
