Two Hand Carved Wooden Flying Swans

Superbly set to flight these 2 Long Necked Swans are wonderfully design to be viewed in any room’s dιcor. They have glass eyes of a shiny glossy red amber color, set to Teakwood.

Very popular back in the 1950s-'60s, when those back from Asia's ports of Japan, Korea or Thailand would returned home to the US with them in sets.

They have at some point been attached with a removable Velcro, possibly allowing placement on a wall without marring its surface.

Condition: Very Good and with character. A minor wood chip (see photos) in the larger bird's beak. When set to a wall would be nearly unnoticeable when viewed even up close. They've been lightly rubbed with pure mineral oil to protect the wood. Such oil should be used since some will actually rot the wood, by allowing the introduction of organics that can degrade within.
